Welcome to the "new" Country Chatter
It is time for
another issue of Country Chatter. Can you believe that it is
November all ready, we are supposed to have rain this weekend and cool
temperatures. finally I might get to turn off the air. But the mornings
and evenings are wonderful, I have been out walking down to get the mail
can't wait to get a dog to walk with me. All my plants are enjoying
the cooler weather.
everyone had a wonderful Halloween, more kids this year than in past
years. Lots of people took photos of the house, and keep hoping one
of these years, one of the magazines will stop by and take photos of it.
I tried to get Happy Feet to sit on one of the pumpkins
but........... he was not going for that at all. Check out my Facebook page (cjdacarebear) and there are photos of the front of the
like to say a couple words to the NFL. He enjoys football, he gets
his rocking chair in the right position, the afghan is in the right place,
his pillow is patted down just the way that he likes it
and he has his
Pringles hid, so he can enjoy them while he is watching the game.
Now here is where the problem is, he would like the NFL not to show any
more Chicago Bears games on the TV. His adopted Mom yells at the TV
when the Bears are on and scares him. He jumps up and his Pringles go
flying around the living room and Special runs in and steals them.
So he would like the NFL not to schedule anymore Chicago Bears games so he
can enjoy watching football again. And he would like something done
with Happy Feet and Baby Stripes, the living room is not a race track.
Claudia and I
went to the Front Porch Festival in Catlin Court and Downtown Glendale.
It was so nice to see all our favorite shops again and some of the new
ones. So many new things to see and buy, we stopped at Southern
Comfort and had lunch on their porch, it was so nice. If it does not
rain on Saturday, we are going back for Holiday Open House. Well,
the Valley of the Sun can go from hot to cold in one week. It was
cold today and we have a hard freeze warning for tonight. All the
stores are decorated for Holidays and the Craft Festival was set up
I am working on
my front yard , now that it has cool down. I am going to have rock
put down, so I am pulling edging around and "building" a new sidewalk in
the middle of the yard going up to the patio that I built, too. I
will take pictures when I am done.
Here are a couple
of the shops that we visited on Saturday.
The Cottage Garden
On Thanksgiving Day we’re thankful
Our blessings all year through,
For family we dearly love,
For good friends, old and new.
For sun to light and warm our days,
For stars that glow at night,
For trees of green and skies of blue,
And puffy clouds of white.
We’re grateful for our eyes that
The beauty all around,
For arms to hug, and legs to walk,
And ears to hear each sound.
The list of all we’re grateful for
Would fill a great big book;
Our thankful hearts find new delights
Everywhere we look!

We are adding a
new feature to the newsletter. I made a mistake and bought Happy
Feet in the computer room,
so that he could see a newsletter that I get and he got an idea. He
has been driving me crazy ever since, Happy Feet
has not been too happy with his "furless" mom ever since she bought in the
kitten, Stripes and he wants a column of his own.
So............. here it is.
Ever since Stripes has come into the house, I have want her to know that I
am the most important kitten in the house, not that dumb
little kitten. He moved into the house and I hid, in fact I hid for
three days, and my furless mom could not find me. She called
and called for me inside and outside the house. She was sure that I
had run away from home, but I am an inside kitten not an
outside kitten like Stripes. My furless Mom was so happy when she
found me, hugs and kisses. I will be a year old at
Thanksgiving and I want a birthday cake made out of treats. So, this
will be my column and each month you will get some
of my wonderful adventures around the house and maybe I will hold still
long enough that a photo will be taken of me.
If you want to send treats, please, Bandit will not share his Pringles
with me. I have a whole month to think up ideas for my
feature so, all I have been hearing about is this thing called Christmas
and Da Bears - I have to agree with Bandit about my
furless mom and football.
Around the Valley
This is for my friends who need a little reminder about what is going
my part of the world.
It is time for the valley to come alive and for everyone to come out
all the shows and
all the wonderful activities.
Time to take a class or two at the Park District or your local craft shop,
I am following my
own advice and taking a class this Sunday down at Country Maiden and
to make a crocheted rug. They will be offering this class again in
email me if you are interested and I will send you all the information.
